Qwitter

Qwitter is a Twitter client, specially designed to aid blind people to connect with this social network.
Twitter is a very popular micro blogging service.

It allows you to post short text only messages (up to 140 characters) at a time. These messages will be received by your "followers", and you will receive messages from the people you follow.

Qwitter will use your current screen reader, and will announce in a loud voice when you receive a tweet. It will also read aloud the results of searches that you do using the client.

A "screen reader" is a program capable of reading the content of your screen, and use digitized speech to read it in a loud voice. This is specially useful for the visually impaired. Qwitter is compatible with the most popular screen readers, including Narrator, that comes included with Windows 7.

You can input commands to Qwitter through different hot keys (pressing CTRL+Windows Key+something...). This way you can configure the program, start or end sessions, block followers, perform searches on the Internet (through Bing) and many more things.
